Structured Cabling Installer (Communication Tech I)
Assists in the Installation, termination and testing of copper voice and data cabling. Installs relay racks, ladder racks, and cable trays in a construction and/or commercial environment. Works under the direction of a lead installer (Comm. Tech II) to accomplish the above tasks.
Must posses a working knowledge of the use of hand tools such as drills, hammers, screwdrivers, wire cutters, wrenches and shovels. Must be familiar with the use of fish tapes, cable handling hardware such as pulleys, reel caddies and power actuated fastening devices (ramset or Hilti), Must be able to lift approximately 80 pounds frequently, work at various heights and work outdoors. Must posses a valid Florida driver's license with excellent driving record. Posses good oral and written communication skills. High school diploma or equivalent.

Structured Cabling Installer (Communication Tech II)
Installs, terminates and tests copper voice, data & fiber optic cabling. Installs relay racks, ladder racks, and cable trays in a construction and/or commercial environment. Responsible for installation docs including as-built prints, change orders, project task trackers, work orders, and material request forms.
Posses skills in copper and fiber termination. MUST be able to diagnose/repair cable related problems. Must have a basic understanding of OHMS Law, design symbols, cable certification criteria, cable certification tester operation and basic computer operations. Must posses a valid Florida driver's license with excellent driving record. Posses good oral and written communication skills. High school diploma or equivalent.
